We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your data.

Information You Provide
- Account information: Name, email address, entity type (e.g., personal, hospital, clinic, distributor), and company or organization name.
- Listing data: Titles, descriptions, pricing, equipment condition, categories, location (city, state, zip code), and images you upload.
- Contact information: Phone number if you choose to provide it on your profile.
- Job listings: Job titles, descriptions, and related information you post.
Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data: Pages viewed, searches performed, listings viewed, and general interaction patterns.
- Device information: Browser type, operating system, and general device characteristics collected via standard HTTP headers.
- IP address: Collected by our hosting provider for security and performance purposes.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide the Platform: Create and manage your account, display your listings, and enable connections between buyers and sellers.
- Power search: Index listing content to provide relevant search results, including semantic search capabilities.
- Send notifications: Notify you about activity related to your account and listings, such as listing expiration reminders.
- Email communications: Send transactional emails (account verification, password resets) and, with your consent, occasional platform updates.
- Improve the Platform: Analyze usage patterns to improve features, fix issues, and develop new functionality.
- Maintain security: Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the Platform. Each of these services has access to certain data as described below:
Supabase
Authentication and database storage. Stores your account information, listing data, and manages login sessions.
Cloudflare
Website hosting and content delivery. Processes requests to the Platform and may collect IP addresses and request metadata for security and performance.
Resend
Email delivery. Receives your email address to send transactional emails such as account verification, password resets, and listing notifications.
Voyage AI
Semantic search. Listing text is sent to Voyage AI to generate search embeddings, enabling more relevant search results. No personal account information is sent.
6. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
- Listings: Active listings expire after 30 days unless renewed by the user. Expired listings are removed from public view but may be retained in backups for a limited period.
- Usage data: Retained in aggregated, non-identifiable form for analytics purposes.
7. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: You can update your account information at any time through your dashboard, or contact us to correct inaccurate data.
- Deletion: You can delete your account and associated data at any time. You may also contact us to request deletion of specific data.

8. CAN-SPAM Compliance
We comply with the CAN-SPAM Act. All emails sent by Curafyn:
- Will not use false or misleading subjects or email addresses.
- Will identify the message as an advertisement when applicable.
- Will include our physical mailing address: 1209 Orange Street, Wilmington, DE 19801.
- Will honor opt-out and unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.
You can unsubscribe from non-transactional emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us at privacy@curafyn.com. Note that you cannot opt out of transactional emails necessary for account operation (e.g., password resets, security alerts).
9. Children’s Privacy
The Platform is not intended for use by anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@curafyn.com.
10. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), secure authentication through Supabase, and access controls on our systems. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this page and notify you via email or a notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
